Author: I.C. Springman
Mathematical Concepts and Language:
- Comparison: Concepts of more/less
- Mathematical Language: words to describe quantity
- Measurement

Questioning:
Before:
- Show 2 groups of equal quantities - ask "Which has more? How do you know?"
- Investigate how you can alter the quantities in the groups so that one has more than the other.

- Whole Group: discuss with class "when would you want something - more, several, or less of something"
- Game: Guessing game - record a number and others guess (leader of game - give clues to whether it is more or less)
- Nature Walk: look for materials to build nests
