  • Outdoors: Measuring using nonstandard materials (e.g., mittens, footsteps, sticks, pinecones)
  • Balance Board: using a long board create a balance scale outdoors for measurement and comparison
  • Footprints: Looking for footprints outdoors (noticing patterns in prints, size, shape)
  • Water Table: Bring snow inside - measuring before and after it melts
